Choose A Menu

The first thing you will need to do is select the menu that you want to use for the Responsive Menu plugin. The plugin uses Menus created inside your WordPress admin and cannot be used for custom or hard-coded menus.

Therefore, the first thing you need to do is navigate to the Appearance and then Menus tab from your WordPress admin area and check which menus are currently available for you inside WordPress.

If you don’t have any menus set-up, you can create one now by hitting the Create a new menu option and building this as normal. There is a great guide on creating menus in WordPress which can be found here.

Now you have set-up or confirmed you already have menus inside WordPress we will need to associate one of these with the Responsive Menu plugin. To do this, simply open up the Responsive Menu plugin page and navigate to the Initial Setup tab and find the Menu to Use option.

Now all you need to do is select the menu you want to use, hit Update Options and this will be automatically used by the Responsive Menu plugin.

Using different menus on different pages or when users are logged in is achievable using the shortcode options which is covered in the advanced section of the documentation.
