It’s been just over a month since I gave you a new release, but I think you will be happy with what we have in store today.
[doc_block title=”Mega Menus”]
The whole Desktop Menu area has been revamped and from today moving forward you can now create Mega Menus for your Desktop Menus. Instead of being stuck in the boring old world of simple drop-down options, you can now bring your desktop menus to life too.
The new options can be found under the renamed Desktop Menu tab and I will be updating the documentation to include a video to help explain how to use it (as it’s quite hard to describe via a blog version post update).
The new settings screen can be seen below:
This is the first pass at giving this a go so I’m sure there will be lots of changes and improvements to this in the coming weeks and months, so keep your eyes open!
[doc_block title=”New Admin Themes”]
The whole admin area has been spruced up a bit with a new font, change of colours and a bit of a re-arrange of the options. Please take your time to familiarise yourself with the new option layouts and design as I update the docs to reflect the changes.
On top of this, there is a new Dark Theme that can be activated by selecting Dark from the admin theme option under the Technical tab and then Theme, as per the screenshot below:
The Dark Theme will be the new default theme for new users. For users who already have the plugin installed you will continue to have the Light Theme but can easily switch at any time using this option.
[doc_block title=”New CSS Units”]
2 new units have hit the plugin, vw and vh which are good for responsive design. You can read up more about them on this link.
An example option with the new CSS units can be seen below:
As always if you find any bugs please bring them to my attention as I can promise you, your requests are never ignored!
See you all soon!
