Three ways to open the cart

Pick the one that suits your store. You can switch at any time.

  • Dropdown

    The cart opens under the icon when shoppers hover over it.

  • Drawer

    A click slides a cart panel in from the side and dims the page behind it.

  • Link

    The icon and count link straight to your cart page.

Make it match your store

Everything is in the WooCommerce section of the Desktop Menu settings, with a live preview.

  • IconShopping Bag, Shopping Cart, Basket or the WordPress cart icon, or your own. Set its colour and hover colour.
  • Item countShow or hide the count badge and choose its colours.
  • PositionAt the start or the end of your menu.

Set it up in three steps

    Switch it on

    With WooCommerce active, go to Desktop Menu, then WooCommerce, and turn on WooCommerce Mini Cart.

    Choose how it works

    Pick an icon, the position in your menu, and Dropdown, Drawer or Link.

    Style it and save

    Set the colours and button text, check the preview, then save.

Is the menu cart in the free plugin?

No. The WooCommerce mini cart is part of Responsive Menu Pro, on every plan from $49 a year.

Do I need a separate menu cart plugin?

No. Switch the mini cart on in the Desktop Menu settings and it appears at the start or end of your menu. The setting shows up once WooCommerce is active.

Does the count update when someone adds a product?

Yes. It uses WooCommerce's own cart refresh, so the count and the items update without reloading the page. Shoppers can also remove items from the cart panel.

Which cart type should I pick?

Dropdown opens when shoppers hover over the icon. Drawer slides a cart panel in from the side when they click. Link takes them straight to your cart page.

Can I use my own cart icon?

Yes. Pick a preset (Shopping Bag, Shopping Cart, Basket or the WordPress cart icon) or choose your own icon, and set its colour and hover colour.

Does the cart show in the mobile menu?

The mini cart is part of the desktop menu. In your mobile menu, add your Cart page as a normal menu item so shoppers can reach it.
